PEER REVIEW PROCESS
International Journal of Islamic Education Management (IJIEM) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and academic integrity of all published articles.
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. All submissions must comply with the journal’s author guidelines and ethical standards.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor conducts an initial screening to evaluate:
-
Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
-
Originality and academic contribution
-
Compliance with submission guidelines
-
Plagiarism level (using plagiarism detection software)
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected or returned for revision before the peer review stage.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
Both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed to ensure objectivity and impartiality.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:
-
Originality and significance of the study
-
Theoretical framework and literature review
-
Research methodology and data analysis
-
Clarity, coherence, and academic writing quality
-
Contribution to the field of Islamic education management
4. Review Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
-
Accepted
-
Accepted with minor revisions
-
Accepted with major revisions
-
Rejected
The decision, along with anonymous reviewer comments, is communicated to the author.
5. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers if necessary.
6. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding publication after considering the revised manuscript and reviewers’ feedback.
7. Copyediting and Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before being published in the scheduled issue.
