AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Ngaliman: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat

 

A. General Information

Ngaliman: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat publishes scientific papers that report the results of community service activities focused on empowerment, social innovation, and transformative engagement. All manuscripts submitted to this journal must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Manuscripts can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English using Microsoft Word (.docx) format and will be evaluated through a double-blind peer review process.

B. Manuscript Structure

Authors are required to follow the structure and format described below:

1.   Title

     a.   The title should reflect the main issue, subject, action, strategy, and desired social change of the community service.

      b.   Use Cambria 16 pt, Capitalize Each Word, and align center.

2.   Author(s) and Affiliation

a.   The author’s full name is written without academic titles.

b.   Include institutional affiliation and corresponding email address.

c.   Use Cambria 12 pt for author names and Cambria 11 pt for affiliation, centered.

3.   Abstract

a.   The abstract should be written in one paragraph (maximum 150 words), containing the issue and focus of community service, objectives, methods or strategies, and key results.

b.   Use Cambria 11 pt, italic, single spacing.

c.   Include 3–6 keywords.

4.   Introduction

a.   The introduction should describe the community’s actual condition, reasons for selecting the target group, the focus and purpose of the activity, and expected social transformation.

b.   This section must be supported by qualitative or quantitative data and relevant literature.

c.   Use Cambria 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, and apply Turabian (Author-Date System) for in-text citations and references.

5.   Method

a.   Explain the planning and organizing process of community engagement, including the subject, location, community involvement, and research-based service strategies.

b.   Describe the stages of the activity and, if possible, illustrate them using flowcharts or diagrams.

c.   Use Cambria 12 pt, 1.15 spacing.

6.   Results

a.   Present the outcomes of the community service, including the dynamics of mentoring, forms of action, and emerging social changes (e.g., new local institutions, behavior change, local leadership, and collective awareness).

b.   Tables and figures should be numbered sequentially: (a). Table: title above, centered. (b). Figure: title below, centered.
c.   Use Cambria 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.

7.   Discussion

a.   Provide a theoretical discussion relevant to the findings, highlighting how the results contribute to community transformation and scientific development.

b.   The discussion should be supported by relevant and updated references using Turabian (Author-Date System).

c.   Use Cambria 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.

8.   Conclusion

a.   Summarize the findings, theoretical reflections, and recommendations derived from the community service.

b.   Use Cambria 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.

9.   Acknowledgments (optional)

a.   Express appreciation to individuals or institutions who contributed to the success of the program.

b.   Use Cambria 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.

10.    References

a.   References should follow Turabian Style (Author-Date System) and be arranged alphabetically.

b.   Use Cambria 12 pt, before/after spacing 12 pt, single spacing.

c.   It is strongly recommended to use Mendeley or Zotero.

d.   A minimum of 10 references is required, preferably from recent journal articles (within the last 5 years).

D. Submission Procedure

Authors must register and submit their manuscripts via the OJS system:
? https://ejurnal.iaipdnganjuk.ac.id/index.php/ngaliman. Manuscripts that do not comply with this guideline will be returned to the author for revision prior to the review process.

E. Copyright and Open Access Policy

Accepted manuscripts are published under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). Authors retain full copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication.
