Sayid Utsman Bin Yahya dan Konstribusinya dalam Kajian Hadis di Indonesia

Abstract

This research uses library research. The aim of this research is to reveal Sayyid Ustman's contribution to the study of hadith in Indonesia. As a scholar, he really maintained the purity of the aqidah of the Ahlu Sunnah wa congregation. In determining a law, he uses the basis of the Koran, hadith, ijma' and qiyas. He strongly opposes the Wahhabi and Rafidhah understanding of hadith which considers shirk towards people who practice Tawashul, visit graves and istigosah. Apart from these two schools, he also opposed the reformist school which understood hadith differently from the provisions made by previous scholars. This research discusses Sayyid Usman's contribution to the study of hadith in Indonesia.
