Al-Daulah dalam Kepemimpinan Perspektif Ibnu Khaldun: Analisis terhadap Praktik Kepemimpinan di Indonesia Tahun 2024
Abstract
Indonesia’s 2024 Presidential Election was marked by controversy surrounding the concentration of power and the practice of political dynasties, which sparked widespread debate over the ethics of constitutional governance. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of leadership and power in the 2024 Election through Ibn Khaldun’s political sociology framework, particularly the concepts of asabiyah and the dynastic cycle, while also comparing them with perspectives on leadership ethics. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. The research method focuses on collecting data from relevant academic literature and political documents, which are subsequently analyzed using descriptive-analytical techniques. The findings indicate that the consolidation of power through kinship relations and elite coalitions in the 2024 Election represents a modern manifestation of asabiyah aimed at maintaining group hegemony. The implications of the strengthening of political dynasties have the potential to undermine the quality of public participation and compromise the integrity of the democratic system. This study concludes that the concentration of power that disregards the principle of justice may ultimately accelerate the cycle of decline of a government. Therefore, strengthening constitutional ethics is essential to maintaining the maturity and quality of democracy in Indonesia.
