FOCUS

Jurnal Ilmiah Innovative (Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian) aims to strengthen transdisciplinary perspective on issues related to Islam and Muslim societies. The journal is committed to publishing scholarly articles dealing with multiple facets of Islam and Muslim societies with a special aim to expand and to deepen a transdisciplinary approach in the study of Islam as tradition, culture, and practice. It focuses on topical issues which include scholarship on classical and contemporary studies on Islam and Muslim societies and takes a transdisciplinary approach that benefits from a cross-cultural perspective. 

SCOPE

Jurnal Ilmiah Innovative (Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian) specializes in the study of Islam and Muslim societies and aims to strengthen transdisciplinary studies on Islam and Muslim societies. The published articles will explore the discussions on classical and contemporary Islamic studies from different socio-scientific approaches, such as anthropology, sociology, politics, international relations, ethnomusicology, arts, film studies, economics, human rights, law, diaspora, minority studies, demography, ethics, communication, education, economics, philosophy, and philology. Studies grounded in empirical research and comparison of relevance to the understanding of broader intellectual, social, legal, and political developments in contemporary Muslim societies reserve as the crucial scope of the journal.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The submitted manuscripts to the will follow a blind-review process inviting at least two reviewers, and the results of the review will be published after approval from the board of editors .

Editors and/ or reviewers have fully responsible for deciding that an article submitted will be published or not. It refers to the editorial board policy of the journal which is restricted on legal provisions, such as defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.

Prior to the review process, the Jurnal Ilmiah Innovative (Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian) applies plagiarism-detection to each submitted manuscript. The journal uses Turnitin to track the level of similarities and the author will be well-informed about the result of similarities-checking. 

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

Jurnal Ilmiah Innovative (Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian) believes in the idea of knowledge for all and supports an easy-access for every interested reader. It provides immediate open access to its content on the principle of making research freely available to the public and supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

PRESERVATION POLICY

Jurnal Ilmiah Innovative (Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian) is commited to the permanent preservation of the journal's contents archiving. It utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots Of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and  Moraref (Ministry of Religious Affairs' Reference) systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

PROCESSING AND PUBLICATION FEE

No processing fee entitled for the submission and the publication of selected article.

Jurnal Ilmiah Innovative (Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian) would also grant two free of charge printed copies to  contributing author of an issue publishing his/her article.
