IMPLEMENTASI PRINSIP KERJA, PRODUKSI, DAN ETOS EKONOMI ISLAM DALAM KEHIDUPAN MODERN
Abstract
\
This study examines the gap between the ideal concepts of Islamic economics and modern economic practices, which tend to disregard ethical values such as honesty, justice and social responsibility. The main focus of the study is the integration of Islamic principles of work, concepts of production and economic ethos as a unified set of interrelated values. The novelty of this study lies in its comprehensive approach, which combines these three aspects within a single analytical framework aspects that were previously often discussed in isolation. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, analysing various scholarly sources related to Islamic economics, including academic journals and other relevant literature. The research findings indicate that the principles of work in Islam position economic activities as part of worship that must be grounded in honesty and responsibility. The concept of production emphasises the principles of halal, social justice, and environmental sustainability, whilst the Islamic economic ethos serves as a moral foundation guiding economic behaviour to align with Sharia values. In conclusion, the integration of these three aspects is capable of forming an economic system that is not only profit-oriented but also focused on a balance between material and spiritual values, as well as sustainable social welfare.
