TAFSIR AYAT-AYAT TENTANG PENTINGNYA MENJAGA HAFALAN AL-QUR’AN DAN RELEVANSINYA DENGAN PROGRAM TAHFIDZ DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-KAUTSAR NGANJUK

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interpretation of Qur’anic verses concerning the importance of preserving Qur’anic memorization and their relevance to the tahfidz program at Pondok Pesantren Al-Kautsar Nganjuk. The focus of this research includes Surah Al-A’la verses 6–7, Surah Al-Qamar verse 17, Surah Al-Hijr verse 9, and Surah Al-Muzzammil verse 4 based on the interpretations of Imam Al-Qurthubi and Imam Ibnu Katsir. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using library research and field research methods. Data were collected through the study of tafsir books, observations, interviews, and documentation related to the implementation of the tahfidz program at Pondok Pesantren Al-Kautsar Nganjuk. The results indicate that both commentators emphasize the importance of preserving Qur’anic memorization through muroja’ah, tartil recitation, and continuous interaction with the Qur’an. Furthermore, these verses affirm that preserving memorization is part of Allah’s protection over the authenticity of the Qur’an. The relevance of these interpretations can be seen in the tahfidz practices at Pondok Pesantren Al-Kautsar through daily muroja’ah activities, memorization deposits, recitation evaluations, and habituation of tartil recitation. Therefore, this study demonstrates that the Qur’anic values regarding the preservation of memorization are practically implemented in shaping a Qur’anic generation with strong memorization, proper recitation, and spiritual closeness to the Qur’an.
