ETIKA BISNIS ISLAM: PENERAPAN PRINSIP KEJUJURAN, AMANAH, TRANSPARANSI, DAN KEADILAN DI ERA PASAR MODERN
Abstract
This study discusses the principles of Islamic business ethics, namely honesty, trustworthiness, transparency, and justice, as well as their relationship to business practices in modern markets. Islamic business ethics function as moral guidelines in economic activities that are not only profit-oriented, but also emphasize social responsibility, public welfare, and business sustainability. In modern business practices, increasingly intense market competition often leads to various unethical behaviors such as product information manipulation, fraud, dishonesty in transactions, unfair pricing, and the concealment of product defects that may harm consumers. Therefore, the implementation of honesty and transparency becomes an important factor in building long-term consumer trust and loyalty. The principle of trustworthiness requires business actors to be responsible for product quality, services, and the information provided to consumers, while the principle of justice emphasizes balanced treatment and the avoidance of harm to other parties in every transaction. The study shows that the implementation of Islamic business ethics can create harmonious relationships between producers and consumers, strengthen the integrity of business actors, increase public trust, and support the establishment of a fair, transparent, sustainable, and socially oriented business system in accordance with sharia values.
