Early childhood represents a critical period for language development, as children begin to build social relationships and acquire communication skills. However, variations in language proficiency among children may occur due to differences in learning experiences and classroom conditions. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the role-playing method in developing expressive language skills, particularly children’s ability to express opinions and communicate ideas. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design involving children in Group A at Rendhawa English School during the 2023–2024 academic year. Data were collected through systematic observations and documentation of children's learning activities. Quantitative analysis was used to determine the percentage of developmental achievement in each cycle, while qualitative analysis was conducted to assess children’s progress based on four developmental categories: not yet developed, beginning to develop, developing as expected, and developing very well. The findings indicate that the implementation of role-playing activities significantly improved children’s expressive language abilities. Through role-playing, children became more confident in expressing opinions, communicating with peers, and participating actively in learning activities. In addition, role-playing provided meaningful social interaction experiences that supported both language development and social competence. Therefore, the role-playing method can be considered an effective instructional strategy for fostering expressive language skills among early childhood learners.

Keywords: Expressive Language Skills, Role-Playing Method, Early Childhood Education, Language Development, Classroom Action Research.
2026-06-16T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 http://ejurnal.iaipd-nganjuk.ac.id/index.php/al-athfal/article/view/2527Peran Strategi Scaffolding dalam Meningkatkan Efektivitas Evaluasi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani pada Anak Usia Dini2026-06-16T11:00:48+00:00MIFTACHUS SHOLIKAHMIFTACHUSSHOLIKAH@gmail.com
Evaluation is an essential component of the learning process, particularly in early childhood education, as it provides information regarding children’s developmental progress and learning achievements. In the context of physical education, evaluation is crucial for assessing the development of motor, cognitive, and social skills among young learners. This study aims to analyze the implementation of scaffolding as an evaluation strategy in physical education learning at TK Murni Asih and to examine its effectiveness in supporting children’s learning outcomes. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the application of scaffolding strategies within the learning and evaluation process. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation related to physical education activities. The findings indicate that scaffolding serves as an effective pedagogical strategy by providing structured and gradual assistance that enables children to perform tasks beyond their initial capabilities and progressively achieve greater independence. Through this approach, children demonstrate improvements in motor coordination, social interaction, problem-solving abilities, and learning engagement. Furthermore, the use of scaffolding-based evaluation allows teachers to monitor children’s developmental progress more comprehensively and provide appropriate support according to individual learning needs. The study concludes that scaffolding can be effectively integrated into physical education evaluation practices and has the potential to enhance the quality of learning in early childhood education settings.

Keywords: Scaffolding, Learning Evaluation, Physical Education, Early Childhood Education, Learning Outcomes..
2026-06-16T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 http://ejurnal.iaipd-nganjuk.ac.id/index.php/al-athfal/article/view/2528Implementasi Pendidikan Nilai Agama dan Moral pada Anak Usia Dini di Lembaga Pendidikan Berbasis Agama Hindu2026-06-16T11:01:57+00:00MIFTAH KUSUMA DEWIMIFTAHKUSUMADEWI@gmail.com
ABSTRACT

Religious and moral values constitute essential aspects of character formation that should be cultivated from an early age. The development of these values needs to be aligned with the characteristics of early childhood through engaging and age-appropriate learning approaches. Contemporary educational practices often place greater emphasis on intellectual development, which may result in insufficient attention to children's spiritual and moral growth. This study aims to analyze the learning strategies employed in instilling religious and moral values among early childhood learners at TK Pradnya Paramita. The research adopted a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the cultivation of religious and moral values is implemented through several learning strategies, namely student-centered learning, play-based learning, storytelling, singing activities, and integrated learning approaches. These strategies provide meaningful learning experiences that support children’s moral awareness, religious understanding, and positive character development. The study concludes that the use of interactive and child-oriented learning strategies contributes significantly to the effective internalization of religious and moral values in early childhood education settings.

Keywords: Religious and Moral Values, Learning Strategies, Early Childhood Education, Character Development, Child-Centered Learning.
2026-06-16T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 http://ejurnal.iaipd-nganjuk.ac.id/index.php/al-athfal/article/view/2529Efektivitas Penggunaan Alat Permainan Edukatif Balok dalam Mengembangkan Kemampuan Kognitif Anak di TK PGRI2026-06-16T11:03:12+00:00riana rahayuriana@gmail.com
ABSTRACT

Cognitive development is an essential aspect of early childhood growth, as it encompasses children's ability to think, reason, solve problems, and understand their surrounding environment. The development of cognitive abilities is influenced by both innate potential and environmental stimulation, including educational experiences provided through play-based learning activities. Educational game tools serve as instructional media that facilitate meaningful learning experiences and support various aspects of child development. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of educational block games in enhancing the cognitive abilities of early childhood learners. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews conducted with a teacher at TK PGRI Sukarame. The findings indicate that the use of educational block games positively contributes to the development of children’s cognitive skills. Through block play activities, children gradually improve their ability to recognize and differentiate shapes, colors, sizes, and spatial relationships while also strengthening problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Furthermore, the integration of varied and engaging learning activities helps maintain children's interest and motivation throughout the learning process. The study concludes that educational block games represent an effective learning medium for stimulating cognitive development and fostering active learning among early childhood learners.

Keywords: Educational Game Tools, Block Games, Cognitive Development, Early Childhood Education, Learning Media.
2026-06-16T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 http://ejurnal.iaipd-nganjuk.ac.id/index.php/al-athfal/article/view/2530Analisis Pola Pengasuhan Anak Usia Dini oleh Orang Tua yang Bekerja pada Shift Malam2026-06-16T11:04:46+00:00farida nur azizahfarida@gmail.com
ABSTRACT

Parenting practices play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of early childhood. However, families in which parents work night shifts often face unique challenges in balancing occupational responsibilities with childcare duties. This study aims to analyze parenting patterns implemented by parents who work night shifts and to explore the strategies they employ in fostering the development of their young children at the Similar Early Childhood Education Unit (SPS) Prapat Hulu, Babussalam, Southeast Aceh. The research adopted a qualitative approach involving four families whose children were enrolled in SPS Prapat Hulu and whose parents were actively engaged in night-shift work. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that parents employ several adaptive strategies to maintain effective childcare, including structured yet flexible scheduling, the utilization of communication technology, the establishment of meaningful family routines, attention to parents’ physical and psychological well-being, and the practice of open communication with children. The study also highlights the significant role of educational institutions, policy support, and community involvement in assisting families to address the challenges associated with night-shift employment. The findings suggest that, despite the complexities of balancing work and parenting responsibilities, appropriate caregiving strategies combined with adequate social support can contribute positively to children’s development and family well-being. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the need for future longitudinal research to examine the long-term effects of parenting patterns among night-shift worker families on child development and family dynamics.

Keywords: Parenting Patterns, Early Childhood, Night-Shift Workers, Family Support, Child Development.
2026-06-16T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026
